Taxes by KD was established in 2012.
Kristina has worked in tax preparation for 20 years now. She started her journey at HNR Clark, INC in 2004 where she spent 17 years of her career. She started her own practice in 2014 and left HNR Clark in 2020 to focus solely on her practice. She loves what she does, and it shows!! No two clients are the same, and as such, each client is provided with our undivided attention to detail from start to finish. She takes time to help ALL clients understand their tax situation and will provide tax planning assistance to help decrease your tax liability in future years.
Tax resolution is an additional service we offer to taxpayers who may be in a little hot water with the IRS, state, or city tax filing.

At Taxes by KD, we specialize in income tax preparation for the Entertainment Industry and small business professional. With that said, we do all types of clients and have a broad range of knowledge. Federally licensed, we can prepare all types of returns including all states which you may, or may not be required to file. We also offer assistance with City tax filing.
Kristina's Story
Kristina grew up in Los Feliz, California, surrounded by the entertainment industry. Constantly being surrounded by celebrities and their lifestyles, Kristina understood what they dealt with on a daily basis. Not wanting to go the entertainment route like most Angelenos, she decided to major in Management and thought helping run companies more efficiently would be rewarding.
This viewpoint all changed when she got recruited from her sales job at a young age to work at HNR CLARK. Kristina Uttal worked at HNR Clark for 17+ years. She realized her passion for helping companies could be used to help people save money and understanding things they could do to legally reduce their tax liability. Her passion for helping people shows and countless clients rave about the knowledge they have gained after just one tax meeting. Kristina has had such a positive feedback from her clients because of this attitude and wanting to help people. They express how much she has helped them understand things about their return that other tax preparers never took the time to explain. She loves meeting new people and watching individuals’ careers and families grow form from year to year when tax season hits. "That's what is truly the most rewarding part of my job."
Kristina has 2 boys and loves showing them that she could be a mom and a successful business woman. She has been married to her husband since 2018 and they reside in Southern California.
